Sihem Lamine graduated from the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris in 2002 and worked as an architect for ten years. She received an M.A. in the History of Islamic Architecture from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, in 2012. Her research interests focus on the Zaytuna Mosque as a singular example of Islamic architecture in the Maghreb, the history of the city of Tunis, and heritage preservation. She has been serving as the Administrative and Program Manager of the Tunisia Office of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University since December 2016, managing the overseas branch of Harvard University in Tunis and coordinating academic programs for Harvard faculty students and researchers interested in Tunisia and the region.
